Review:
This is one of my very favorite books of all time. When I read it in high school it just really fit with me. I have seen all the different version of the movies way before I ever read the book. I didn't want to read it because I always felt like Jo & Laurie should be together. I didn't like the ending. Until I read the book I never understood. I totally believe that the books ending is how it should be. This is such a classic for me. I love to read it every winter. Helps me get into the season. It is a classic for a reason. Enjoy!

I've only seen the film versions and they make me want Jo and Laurie to be together too. I should read the book and see just why Alcott thinks they shouldn't. Great review!

How very cool. I think what's so amazing about this book is that each one of us can see ourselves in one or more of the sisters.
ReplyDeleteBIG confession: I have never read this book in its entirety...isn't that horrible? Especially since I am such a fan of the movie. I must fix this!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to read this. I love the story, and I love the film version with Winona Ryder and Christian Bale. Have always wanted to sit down and get into the book. :)
