Favorite Literary Couples

Happy Valentine's Day!

I thought I'd use this day to talk about my favorite Literary couples. Pay homage really, to those special relationships in books that don't seem to exist any other place.

Here's MY list:

Mr. Darcy & Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice)

Capt. Wentworth & Anne Elliot (Persuasion)

John Thornton & Margaret Hale (North and South)

Edward and Bella (Twilight)

I have SO many more favorites, but we'd been here ALL day if I tried to list them. WHO are YOUR favorite literary couples and why??

  1. I watched Persuasion like two days ago for the umpteenth time and the minute long kiss scene gets me every time! Oh, I love Captain Wentworth.

  4. Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell!! I guess they have an unfair advantage though; they've had 11 novels to cement their love for each other.

  6. Betsy and Joe from the Betsy Tacy series by Maud Hart Lovelace. Hm... Ella and Char from Ella Enchanted. Can't forget Anne and Gilbert! And why not Emma and Mr. Knightley? Meliara and Vidanric from Crown Duel. Valency and Barney Snaith from The Blue Castle. Cheney and Shiloh from the Dr. Cheney Duvall series. Rose and Mac from Rose in Bloom.
