I'd like to welcome one of my best friends and our new guest reviewer, Christy, to The Sweet Bookshelf!
Christy and I met when we were both working on cruise lines the summer of 2001. That's 10 yrs ago! We soon found out we had more in common and a fast friendship formed. We were also room mates about 5 yrs ago when we lived in Utah. Christy is a world traveller. Seriously you guys. She has been around the world to almost 50 different countries. She's probably one of the coolest people I know.
Christy will be reviewing right a long with me! We do have similar tastes, but she branches off into genre's I really don't read, so this is going to be GREAT for The Sweet Bookshelf and for you!
Here is a little bit more about Christy!
Bio:
Christy fell in love with reading at the age of eight, when her parents bribed her with a penny for every page she read. It wasn't long before the stories swallowed her up! (And she was able to cash in her reading pennies for her first NKOTB cassette).
Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, The babysitters Club, and The Sweet Valley series were her first book obsessions. When she finished all seven of C.S. Lewis' Narnia Chronicles in two days, her parents scaled back her penny-a-page promise to a penny-every-four pages, but by then it didn't matter; pennies or not, Christy still loves loosing herself in the world of a good story.
Christy reads everything from Mysteries to Dystopian to Memoirs. Her guilty pleasures are european chocolates, world travel and teen reads like The Clockwork Prince and The Maze Runner. (And if you really must know, she loves Ricky Martin too!)
Christy also writes a travel blog found here: www.cmewander.blogspot.com
