- Possibly move over to Wordpress. I'm happy with Blogger but would like a more professional look that WP can offer. But, oh the hassle. I'm still thinking about it.
- Comment more on my own blog as well as others. I'm pretty quiet online when I should try and meet more bloggers like myself. I need to get out there more and make friends!
- Read 100 books. I'd love to do more, but I'm a Mom and Wife first. I keep my reading to before bed only {unless it is a super awesome book that I just can't put down} just so that I can focus on my family during the day. 100 it is!
- Keep my blog updated as well as Goodreads. I should probably do Amazon, but gee whiz, I can only do so much!
- Get my romance Feature, Let's Talk Romance off the ground. Figure out what I'm doing and where I want it to go. Have fun with it!
- Read more YA fantasy this year. I hardly read any last year and I really want to find a few good series to get into.
- Keep my NetGalley queue under control. I currently only have 3 books left to finish and I have a fresh slate. I'm going to keep it that way! Only request 3-4 books at a time, read those, then I can request more.
- Do more giveaway's. I only did a couple last year and I want to get back into them. I'll be making them UK only because I live in the UK and there are so few UK only giveaway's that I want to make it easier for them to win.
- Listen to more audiobooks. I love them and want to listen to at least one per week. We shall see!
- Keep having fun! I've been blogging about books since late 2008 and I want to keep doing my thing. I'm still such a tiny blog in this community and I'm OK with that. As long as I'm having fun then I'll do it.

yes! I need to comment more too!
ReplyDeleteI'm starting right now commenting more!
DeleteLoving these goals & the inspiration. I love how you say you want to keep your blog a stress free zone - although that wasn't a resolution, I feel the same way and definitely want to keep mine that way too.

it's the only way! If I want to keep blogging and reading then it needs to be my happy place. I don't need any more stress. I have a toddler!
DeleteGreat goals, especially #10. Very important! I only went with a goal of 50 books because I always have so much writing to do. I wish I could do 100. That would work wonders for my TBR list! :D
ReplyDeleteI have a personal goal to start a novel. I'm not sure I'll make the 100! But, as long as I'm reading then I will be successful!
DeleteAudiobooks are great for long trips or just doing things around the house. I highly recommend them! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't even clean without an audiobook! Keeps me sane doing the mundane!
DeleteI'm toying with Wordpress as well. We shall see where the year will take me. It is so easy to get caught up in requests from Net Galley and the like. I am trying to be more aware of mine too. I have listening to more audibooks on my Top Ten list too. Yay for having fun! Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI pretty much change my mind every day about WP. If I'm not making money from my blog then should I really do WP?! I don't know...
DeleteNetGalley will be my beotch this year!
I'm hoping to get to the gym more this year, so audiobooks are a definite goal for me, too. And I completely agree with number 10! As long as you have fun and love it, it's worth it :)
ReplyDeleteI have a personal goal to work out more and audiobooks are going to help me get it done!
Delete7 and 9 are now on my list to. I havent done any giveaways yet, so I'm gonna have 8 as well :) Good luck! :D
ReplyDeleteMy Goals for 2013
Ah, moving to Wordpress is on my list as well! :-\
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about moving over to Wordpress. Big haul, but good on ya for making it a goal of yours! Commenting is a big thing for me as well. And good luck with your feature! Looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteWho knows about WP!? Not me. I'm toying with the idea but what is the point if I'm not making money from my blog? I'm putting money into it when I'm not getting anything in return. SO...who knows? I also would rather pay someone to do the migration and design than attempt it myself. Can I really afford the $500+ for that?! Who knows?
DeleteI never thought about reading more fantasy. I absolutely love fantasy but I'm usually always reading sci-fi because that is what I'm drawn to. I'm hoping to read some more contemporary because I don't read much contemporary.
